Our History

Monument Motor Services was established in 1978 by Michael Fleming. In 1989 Michael was joined by his son Matthew. Over the years the business has steadily grown and in January 2008 was relocated from Selly Oak to a large, modern unit in Kings Norton. Since relocating we have had the pleasure of gaining new customers and continuing to provide a reliable and trusted service to our established customers. In 2016 Monument Motor Services became a Limited company.

Our Team

Michael Fleming – Director

Michael Fleming has over 50 years experience working in the Motor Industry. He has seen many changes over the years and now finds a great deal of enjoyment restoring classic cars and getting ‘back to basics’.

Matthew Fleming – Director

Matthew Fleming has 29 years experience working in the Motor Industry. He manages the workshop and enjoys the challenge of diagnosing complex mechanical problems. He takes pride in the ability to diagnose even the most difficult of problems. As a result he is often asked to give expert second opinions to other garages and organisations. Matthew also enjoys teaching and has enabled many apprentices qualify under his supervision.

Michael and Matthew are supported by a professional and experienced team – including mechanical, technical and office staff.

Monument Motor Services Ltd has approval from The Motor Ombudsman. The Motor Ombudsman is a government-backed, self regulatory body for the Motor Industry. The Motor Ombudsman is accredited by Trading Standards Institute (TSI).
